Pratham Education Foundation

In FY21-22, Kotak Securities (KSL) associated with Pratham Education Foundation (Pratham) to implement its CSR Programme on Education. Pratham is a not for profit organisation focusing on high-quality, low-cost, and replicable interventions to address gaps in the education system. It is an innovative learning organization that believes that every child should be in school and learning well.

Pratham has steadily grown in both scope and size over the years, to become one of the largest education focused non-governmental organizations in the country and has reached millions of children across 23 states and Union Territories of India.

One of its objective is to strengthen the foundational skills in language and math for children in primary grades. Through this program we reached out to more than 15,000 children in Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Hyderabad (Telangana), Jaipur (Rajasthan), Patna (Bihar), Nagpur (Maharashtra), Nashik (Maharashtra), Pimpri (Maharashtra), Lucknow (UP)

Pratham also addresses challenges faced by girls in the country pursuing secondary education. Their goal is to support women and encourage them to complete their 10th Std. examination, especially who were once dropouts. About 200+ women have benefitted under this program.
