The UIDAI launched the Aadhaar mobile app, mAadhaar on all Android phones in 2017. WHICH MOBILE PHONES ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE mAADHAAR APP?
The mAadhaar App is compatible with the following mobiles:
1) The mAadhaar app is currently accessible only to Android 5.0 and above users
2) The UIDAI is yet to launch the iOS version of the mAadhaar app. You may not be able to access it on your iPhone.
3) You can download the mAadhaar only if your mobile number is registered with your Aadhaar card
How can you download the mAadhaar app on your mobile phone?
You can download the mAadhaar App by following the below mentioned steps:
Step 1: Open Google Play Store on your smartphone (www.play.google.com/store)
Step 2: Search for mAadhaar app in the search section
Step 3: Click on the mAadhaar UIDAI app and select the install option
Step 4: Open the app after it gets downloaded
Step 5: Set a password for your app. The password must contain 4 numerals
*Only you can access the Aadhaar details on your phone with the help of the password in case the phone gets stolen or lost
How to add your profile to the mAadhaar app?
You can add your profile to the Aadhaar app, mAadhaar by following the below mentioned steps:
Step 1: Open your mAadhaar app and enter your 4-digit password
Step 2: Click on the three vertical dots on the upper right corner of the app
Step 3: Click on add profile option and enter your Aadhaar number
Step 4: Select next and allow the app to access your SMS
Step 5: You will receive OTP on your phone. The app automatically detects the OTP and enters it
Step 6: Your Aadhaar is downloaded on your phone

How to delete your mAadhaar profile?
You can delete your mAadhaar profile by following the below mentioned steps:
Step 1: Go to the mAadhaar app
Step 2: Enter your profile with the 4-digit password
Step 3: Click the three dots in the upper right section and select delete profile option
Step 4: Re-enter your profile password
Step 5: A confirmation will appear on your mobile: ‘are you sure you want to delete your profile?’
Step 6: Click yes, and your profile gets deleted
