The entire process of applying for and getting delivery of your Kotak Credit card takes about 21 days.

When you apply for a credit card with Kotak Mahindra, the bank sends you an SMS. The SMS acknowledges your credit card application and provides you with two things: a unique reference and the application form number. Kotak Bank’s website allows you to check your credit card application status using these specifics. The entire process is hassle-free and easy. Follow these simple steps and you are through:

  1. Visit the official website of the bank.
  2. Select the option ‘explore products’ and click on the dropdown menu.
  3. Choose the option ‘cards’ and select ‘credit card services’.
  4. Scroll down till you find the option ‘application status’.
  5. Click on ‘know more’, which will redirect you to the page ‘check your card application status’.
  6. Choose ‘select product’ and hit on the ‘credit card’ button.
  7. Punch in your unique reference number or the application form number and click the ‘check status’ option.

If the status displayed is:

In Progress

This indicates that your application has been received by Kotak Mahindra Bank and is under scrutiny at present.

Approved

This status shows up once the bank approves your application. But you will have to wait a few more days before you get your hands on your credit card.

Dispatched

When your application is approved and the card is prepared, the bank will dispatch it to the address you provided. You will be informed of the status via SMS as well. The message will contain the shipment details of your credit card.

On Hold

This status could appear due to a failed verification process, incomplete documentation, or missing information. The bank will keep your application on hold and enquire about the same. Once the issue is resolved, the bank will proceed with your application.

Declined

When your credit card application is not approved due to some reason or the other, the status displayed is ‘Declined’. This happens when you fail to meet the eligibility criteria. A follow-up is required here to resolve the matter.

No Records Found

You should get in touch with the bank’s customer care if this status appears.

The answer to this is ‘no’, for Kotak Mahindra Bank offers 24/7 customer care services. For any credit card-related query, simply call 1860-266-2666 (for domestic calls) or 91-22-6600-6022 (for international calls). You could also SMS K CCAPP to 5676788 or 997 105 6767.

Another option is to walk into the nearest branch of Kotak Mahindra. Simply provide the bank executives with your unique reference number, application form number, or date of birth.

Your mobile phone can come in handy in tracking your Kotak Mahindra credit card application status. Once you have applied for a credit card, visit the bank’s website and proceed to the credit card section. Punch in your registered mobile phone number in the appropriate box. On doing so, you will receive a one-time password (OTP). Your mobile number will be verified on the basis of this OTP. Once your phone number is confirmed, you can view your credit card application status online.

Once your credit card application is approved and dispatched, you are likely to receive a letter that will carry the air waybill (AWB) number of the shipment that contains your credit card. Now your AWB number can assist you in tracking your Kotak credit card status:

Visit the official website of Kotak Mahindra Bank. Choose the option ‘track your credit card’. Enter your AWB number on the page you are directed to once you select the ‘track your credit card’ option. On verification of the AWB number, you will be able to check the location of your credit card. You can also check when the card will be delivered to you.

This is perhaps the easiest way to track your Kotak Bank credit card application status. In order to check your credit card status with the help of your date of birth, you must visit the bank’s official website. Another option is to download the Kotak Mahindra Bank app on your mobile phone.

Now, all you have to do is select the ‘track your credit card’ option, punch in your date of birth, and submit it. Your credit card application status will be immediately displayed once your particulars are verified.
