NTPC Ltd's total expenses for Q4FY25 stood at ₹40,652.83 crores, a 5.7% increase from ₹38,467.54 crores in Q3FY25, and a 4.2% rise from ₹39,018.52 crores in Q4FY24. The tax expense for the quarter was ₹1,673.66 crores, which was 19.3% lower than the previous quarter, yet showed a 15.7% increase from the same period last year. This reduction in tax expense QoQ could be due to various factors, such as changes in tax rates or deferred tax adjustments.
