Society for Doorstep School (DDS)

DSS is a non-profit organization formed for supporting children and youth from underprivileged families through different education based interventions and skilling programs. and this project aims to support the “School on Wheels” program which is a mobile classroom housed in a bus designed to reach to the most unreached groups of out-of-school children such as children living on the street, pavement dwellers, child laborers between the age of 3 to 14. These classrooms provide the children Balwadi, DSS Literacy and Numeracy Building, Study Class, Computer Literacy, Home Lending & Reading Program, which will cater to the laborers, hawkers & street children of APMC area in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. About 150 children will be benefitted through this project.
