  • QCan I open KSL trading account mapped with any bank?
    A

    Yes. It is advisable that you open/map a bank account with your KSL trading account - with our 6 designated banks – Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICIC Bank, HDFC Bank, AXIS Bank, IndusInd Bank, SBI – and transfer funds online via Internet Banking or UPI.

    UPI is powered by Razorpay with Third-Party Validation (TPV) and in the case of UPI fund transfer the maximum transaction limit is up-to Rs. 2,00,000.

    Faster credits, smooth flow of transactions and early commencement of trading are the advantages you will enjoy. You can transfer funds online and start trading. Further, if we have to make a payment to you, funds can be credited to your bank account directly.

    Further, you can open/map any bank account with your KSL trading account and do transfer via IMPS, NEFT, RTGS by adding Kotaksecurities.com as a beneficiary or Draw cheque in favour of ‘Kotaksecurities.com’ from your linked bank account. Read detailed instructions.

    Coming Soon – Internet Banking transfer facility for more than 6 banks which will be powered by RazorPay. This will be charged at Rs. 7 + taxes – per transaction.

    That's great! You can utilize the same bank account to transact with Kotak Securities.com. Please mention the account details on the Account Opening form
  • QHow Do I transfer funds from my Bank A/c to my Trading A/c?
    A

    You can transfer funds to your trading account by following the steps mentioned below:

    • Log onto www.KotakSecurities.com
    • Once inside the trading section, Click on Funds > Money Transfer > Transfer Funds, You will be presented with a set of boxes.
    • Choose From Bank To Trading and click on Submit.
    • Choose your Bank name and the amount to be transferred Click on Go.
    • You will be redirected on the Bank’s payment gateway.
    • From here on, the bank’s or payment gateway screen would guide you further
  • QHow do I transfer funds from my Kotak Securities trading account to my bank account?

    You can transfer funds from your trading account to your Bank account by following the following steps:

    • Log onto www.kotaksecurities.com
    • Once inside the trading section, Click on Funds > Money Transfer > Transfer Funds, You will be presented with a set of boxes.
    • Choose From Equity To Bank and click on Submit.
    • Your request will be validated against your ledger balance, your minimum margin request and your exposure. After processing, the available amount will be credited to your bank account registered with us on the next working day. All requests received before 11.00 PM on a working day would be executed on the next working day. Please Note, we are unable to process any payout on Saturdays. All requests entered on Friday will be executed on next business day.
  • QI have transferred funds to my Kotak Securities trading account but the same is not reflecting in my limits?

    Please write to us through Solve Your Queries in the Customer Service menu on the trading page quoting the bank name, bank reference number, the date of transaction and the amount of transaction.
  • QI have transferred some funds today to my Kotak Securities trading account, when can I expect the ledger entry?
    A
    The funds that you transferred would be immediately added to your Available Cash Balance. In case, you have transferred the funds before 5.30pm, then the ledger entry for the same would reflect on the next working day and if the funds have been transferred after 5.30pm, the ledger entry would reflect on the day after.
  • QI have funds lying in my Kotak Securities trading account, how do I use the same to invest in Mutual Fund/Bonds?

    After you login to your kotaksecurities.com account follow the following steps:

    • You can start trading by placing a minimum margin of:
    • Click on funds transfer submenu seen at the top
    • Rs.5,000 in the Gateway Account
    • Rs. 5,00,000 in the Value Account
    • Rs. 1,000,000 in the Privilege Account
    • 5,000 in the High Trader Account
    • This minimum margin can be in the form of Cash or Stocks.
  • QI have funds lying in my Kotak Securities trading account, how do I use the same to invest in Mutual Fund/ IPO?

    • Log onto www.kotaksecurities.com
    • Once inside the trading section, Click on Funds > Money Transfer > Transfer Funds, You will be presented with a set of boxes.
    • Choose From Bank To Mutual Fund or Bonds/MF (old) and click on Submit.
  • QHow do I transfer funds set aside for Mutual Fund/ IPO investment, back to my bankaccount?

    Log onto www.kotaksecurities.com

    • Once inside the trading section, Click on Money Transfer
    • You will be presented with a set of boxes.
    • Choose From Mutual Funds To Bank and click on Submit.
    • On doing so, an acknowledgement with a reference number will be generated.

  • QWhat is the procedure to be followed when the funds transfered are not reflecting in Available Cash Balance?
    A
    If the funds transferred are not reflecting in Available Cash Balance then you need to check on the bank site through net banking whether the funds transferred have been debited from the bank account. If yes then please get the Bank Reference number and provide the same to our Customer Care desk through the contact care numbers so that the funds can be uploaded in the Available Cash Balance.   • QWhat if I am unable to transfer funds online from the linked bank account?
    A

    In case you are unable to transfer funds online from the linked bank account, you can also provide us a cheque / Demand Draft (DD) subject to the following conditions:

    • For Online Customers, cheque should be drawn in the favour of kotaksecurities.com
    • The cheque should be issued from your bank account and not from someone else's - bank account.
    • If you give a cheque from a bank account that is not linked to your trading account you need to provide a personalised cheque or a copy of your bank passbook wherein your Account number and Name is visible. This will help us authenticate that the cheque is from your account and not from somebody else. This authentication is required for the first time when the cheque is received from the non linked bank account. In case of DD, a letter from the bank confirming the source of funds is mandatory.
    • Credit will be released only when the above mentioned documents are received and cheque is credited in our bank account.
    • In case cheque bounces, there will be an additional charge of Rs.350/-. Also, Kotak securities reserves it’s right to take legal action under section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act for bouncing of the cheque.
    • All other charges like outstation cheque clearance charges etc. levied by the bank on Kotak Securities will be debited from your trading account on actual basis.

    Kindly hand-over the cheque to our branches. We request you not to deposit any cheque directly into the Kotak Securities bank account as the source of these funds cannot be identified, and hence, we will not be able to credit your trading account.
