How to transfer shares from my Kotak Securities demat account to another demat account offline?

You need to submit the duly filled and signed in Delivery Instruction Slip (DIS) to your nearest Kotak Securities Branch.

Once we receive your DIS slip, we initiate the transfer procedure, Depository (NSDL or CDSL) will share a link to your registered mobile number and email ID. They will also send an OTP. You need to enter the OTP to complete the transfer process. You need to confirm the OTP on the link sent by NSDL/CDSL before 9 PM on the executed date to complete the transfer.

Note:

  • Direct transfer from a demat account to another demat account is called off-market transfer. There are multiple reasons why investors want to make an off-market transfer.

  • If you intend to make an off-market sale, you have to fill the Annexure for DIS slip and send it along with your DIS form. It is mandatory to fill out the payment details.

  • For the Off-market sale, stamp duty is applicable as per this slab.

  • Off-market, transfer charges will be as per agreed DP bill tariff.

  • Shares/Mutual fund holdings that are in free units can be transferred using this flow.

  • Shares/Mutual funds under lock-in cannot be transferred using this flow.
