Research SMS Subscription

This is an SMS service through which one can receive equity research and market information updates during the day. It consists of fundamental research calls, technical research calls and market updates.

Fundamental research is based on fundamental analysis. It is a method of evaluating a security that entails attempting to measure its intrinsic value by examining related economic, financial and other qualitative and quantitative factors. Fundamental analysts study everything that can affect the security's value, including macroeconomic factors (like the overall economy and industry conditions) and company-specific factors (like financial condition and management).

Technical research is based on technical analysis and is defined as a method of evaluating securities by analyzing statistics generated by market activity, such as past prices and volume. Technical analysts do not attempt to measure a security's intrinsic value but instead, use charts and other tools to identify patterns that suggest future stock movements.

This service is available to all existing and new customers of Kotak Securities Ltd.

The service is free of charge for the first two months. Post two months, the plans for the service are as follows:

The charges would be debited from your ledger account at the beginning of the period.

Clients subscribing to either/both SMS services would get our Market Update SMS plan complimentary.

Please note that these charges are exclusive of Service Tax. Service Tax would be levied as per the applicable rate.

Illustration:

No, plan choice is restricted to the same period only i.e., either monthly or yearly. However if you have subscribed to only one SMS type for yearly plan and would like to subscribe to the other also during the period you may do so. Charge for the second service as a proportion to days left in first service cycle would be charged. From following period / cycle (starting from end of first cycle of first service), we will charge as if "BOTH" were selected.

Illustration:

Assumption: A customer subscribes to Fundamental call on 01.08.2022 for yearly plan for which the renewal date will be 01.08.2023. Later on 01.02.2023 he subscribes to Technical call for yearly plan. The charges would be as follows:

i) Charges for first year: On 01.08.2022: For Fundamental call Rs. 1000/- On 01.02.2023: For Technical call Rs.500/- (Rs. 1000*remaining days for renewal of Fundamental call)

ii) Renewal charges: On 01.08.2023: Rs. 1500/- only and not Rs. 2000/- (1000+1000) as this will be treated as subscribed to both SMS type for yearly plan.

Customers can login to their trading account https://www.kotaksecurities.com/ and subscribe to this service under Dashboard -> More -> "Research & Trade Subscription" or Customer Service -> "Research & Trade Subscription ".

Customer can log in to their trading account https://www.kotaksecurities.com/trade/login and unsubscribe to this service under Dashboard -> More -> "Research & Trade Subscription" -> Untick the service you want to unsubscribe.

There are no additional charges for service discontinuation requests between the periods. However, there would be no refund of fees if we receive a discontinuation request between the subscription periods.

The service is renewed automatically unless the customer logs in and unsubscribes to the service.

For the first 2 months, we offer a free trial subscription to the Monthly/Yearly Plan. Clients can opt-out of the service before the end of the second trial month without any payment. The two-month free trial is available only once.
