How to Download and Print Aadhaar Card Online

The 12-digit Aadhaar number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has become the go-to identification proof. After enrolling for the Aadhaar, citizens can download the E-Aadhaar, and print it, in a hassle-free way by following the steps below.

Download Aadhaar Card using Aadhaar number

Step 1: Open the official UIDAI website - https://uidai.gov.in/

Step 2: Go to the Aadhaar Online Services section

Step 3: Click on ‘Download Aadhaar’, after which you will be redirected to another website

Step 4: Select the ‘Aadhaar’ option when asked to enter personal details

Step 5: Enter your 12-Digit Aadhaar number

Step 6: Enter your full name and pin code in the space provided

Step 7: Enter the security code as mentioned on the screen

Step 8: Enter TOTP in the space provided

Step 9: If you don’t have a TOTP, click on the Request OTP button. Then an OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar registered mobile number

Step 10: Fill in your OTP once received

Step 11: Click on the ‘Download Aadhaar’ option.

Step 12: Open the file in a PDF reader on a computer that is connected to a printer, and simply click on the print option.

Download Aadhaar Card using VID

Step 1: Open the official UIDAI website - https://uidai.gov.in/

Step 2: Go to the Aadhaar Online Services section

Step 3: Click on ‘Download Aadhaar’, after which you will be redirected to another website

Step 4: Select the ‘VID’ option when asked to enter personal details

Step 5: Enter your 16-digit VID in the space provided

Step 6: Enter your full name and Pin code and provided on your Aadhaar in the space provided

Step 7: Enter the security code as provided in the box

Step 8: Select the ‘Yes I have TOTP’ option, if you have one

Step 9: Click on the Request OTP button, following which the OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, if you do not have TOTP

Step 10: Fill in your OTP once received

Step 11: Click on the ‘Download Aadhaar’ option.

Step 12: Once downloaded, open the file in a PDF reader on a computer that is connected to a printer, and simply click on the print option.

Download Aadhaar using EID of Enrolment ID

Step 1: Open the official UIDAI website - https://uidai.gov.in/

Step 2: Go to the Aadhaar Online Services section

Step 3: Click on ‘Download Aadhaar’, after which you will be redirected to another website

Step 4: Select the ‘Enrolment ID’ option when asked to enter personal details

Step 5: Enter your 24-digit enroll number as well as the 14-digit date stamp printed on your Enrolment Slip

Step 6: Enter your full name and Pin code and provided on your Aadhaar in the space provided

Step 7: Enter the security code as provided in the box

Step 8: Select the ‘Yes I have TOTP’ option, if you have one

Step 9: Or else click on the Request OTP button, following which the OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number

Step 10: Fill in your OTP once received

Step 11: Click on the ‘Download Aadhaar’ option.

Step 12: Open the file in a PDF reader on a computer that is connected to a printer
