  • QHow does debit arise?
    A

    Cash: You can buy (Long) any Stock in the Cash Segment on the basis of Margin Available ( Cash margin + Stock margin ) .As you may be aware, Cash market settlement payments are due for payment on T+2 basis while all other debits are due for payment on an immediate basis, failing which, your account will show a debit.

    Future and options: When you buy (Long) any "Option" position or incur realized loss in "Future" positions, net Option premium paid and net realized loss on Future positions, settlements are due for payment on T day basis and need to be cleared immediately.

  • QWhat happens if I do not clear my debit?
    A
    In case you have not cleared your outstanding debit , your trading account may get suspended for creating further positions and /or liquidation by Risk Management team to cover the outstanding amount. Please log in and view visit our Debtors Policy for details.
  • QCan I trade in Future & Options if my account is suspended for outstanding debt?
    A
    No, Once your account gets suspended , you will not be allowed to create further position / exposure. However, you can reduce your position or exposure or sell from existing stocks.
  • QHow can I clear my debit ?
    A

    You can clear your debit by :

    • Online - Fund transfer
    • Sell from existing Stocks
    • Square off Option Buy (Long) positions
  • QCan I further trade in Cash and Futures and Options segments on the same day after clearing my debit by transferring funds Online ( Net transfer using payment gateway )?

    In case your debit is cleared by transferring the debit amount from your linked bank account ,you will be allowed further trading to the extent of Available Margin as per Scrip multiple .( View Margin Requirements on website for Scrip Multiple)
  • QCan I further trade in Cash and Futures and Options segment by selling my existing shares or squaring off of my Options long positions:

    You can create position in Future and Short (Sell) Options , to the extent of Available Margin as per Scrip multiple ( View Margin Requirements on website for Scrip multiple )

    You can create exposure (Buy / Sell) in Cash and Long (Buy ) Options to the extent of value of shares sold or premium received by squaring off Option positions , over and above the debit amount .
