Bonus shares may take up to 15 working days from the record date to be credited to your demat account. The shares will not be visible in your account during this period.
Until the new shares are credited, your holdings will show a drop in profits or increase in losses, since the price has gone down due to the bonus issue, while the additional shares have not been credited yet. Upon credit, the profit and loss will be re-adjusted automatically.
