Why was my segment activation request rejected?
Segment activation request can be rejected if the income proof does not meet required criteria.
Common reasons include:
-
Insufficient valuation: If the valuation in the uploaded document falls below the required threshold. For ex: The bank statement doesn't show a single credit entry of ₹10,000 or more, or if net salary in salary slip is below Rs.10K.
-
Outdated document – If the uploaded document is older than the required period. Please ensure bank statement is of last 6 months, salary slip, if provided, should be of last month only.
-
Blurry or unclear image – Crumpled, blurry images are not acceptable
-
Mismatch in name – The name on the statement does not match the name on your Kotak Securities account.
-
Invalid or ineligible document – Uploaded proof is not acceptable (e.g., screenshot of SMS, passbook page without transactions, UPI payment history, etc.).
Tip: Always upload a clear, recent document (PDF or image) that shows your name, account number, and matches the required income proof threshold and range as mentioned on the segment activation request page."
