How do I activate a segment?

To activate FNO in your account, click here

Alternatively, you can follow the steps given below:

1. Login to your account via the mobile app or website
2. Click on Profile section
3. Click on Account details and go to Segments
4. Click on Activate segment(s)
5. Click on Fetch Bank Statement to provide a verified bank statement from account aggregator (Faster and recommended). Follow a few simple steps and confirm your request. Alternatively, click on upload manually. Upload the selected document ensuring its clear and meets the eligibility criteria and proceed to confirm your request.
6. Segment(s) will be activated in 1-2 days.

You will be notified once your segments are activated. You can also check segment status under “Account details” in Profile section.

Accepted Document types for income proof:

1. Bank statement for the last 6 months with atleast one credit entry of ₹10,000 or more. The statement must be in the name of the Kotak Securities account holder. Joint bank account statements are not accepted. (Example: For the month of October 2023, the customer can submit bank statement from 1st April 2023 to 30th September 2023)
   
2. The latest salary slip with net monthly income exceeding ₹10,000 (Example: For the month of October 2023, customer can submit salary slip of September 2023)
   
3. Certificate of net worth more than ₹10,00,000
   
4. Latest ITR (Income Tax Return) acknowledgement (Example: For the month of October 2023, customer can submit ITR acknowledgement of FY22-23)
   
5. Form 16 with gross annual income exceeding ₹1,20,000 (Example: For the month of October 2023, customer can submit Form16 of FY22-23)
   
6. Statement of demat holdings with current holding value equal to or exceeding ₹10,000
   

Document formats supported: PDF, JPEG, JPG, PNG Max size: 5 MB

Note:

• In case your holding valuation is equal to or more than ₹10000, you will not be asked to upload any document
  
• Non Individual and NRI customers are required to submit the request offline, by visiting a nearby branch
  
• Dormant/Inactive customers need to activate their account first before submitting a segment activation request
