What happens to short positions in Expiring future contracts during the tender period?

All short positions in expiring future contracts are liquidated by RMS 5pm onwards on the 2nd last Day of the tender period to avoid the risk of physical delivery. Additionally, no trading will be allowed in this contract from tender period start day.
