Incorporated on 9 July, 1981, Hariyana Ship Breakers Limited (HSBL) was promoted by Shri Shanti Sarup Agarwal. Hariyana Group, Indias pioneering Ship Recycling Group is based in Alang, Asias largest and worlds major Ship Recycling Yard. Hariyana Groups business encompasses of Ship Recycling, Steel Manufacturing, Steel Trading and Real Estate Development. The Company is into the business of ship breaking, trading activities in HR Coils and investment activities. With Hariyana Ship Breakers Ltd., the Group started its ship recycling activities with a small beginning in Mumbai, India achieving an annual turnover of more than 100,000 MT per annum. The Company was facing some problems in 1992 and 1993 due to nonavailability of ships for breaking and nonavailability of foreign exchange for importing old ships.Pursuant to the scheme of amalgamation of Hariyana Fashions Private Limited and Hariyana Machinery Exports Private Limited with the the Company as sanctioned by the Honble High Court of Bombay vide its Order dated 12 January, 2007 and becoming effective, 11,66,667 Equity Shares of Rs. 10/ each were allotted to the Shareholders of Hariyana Fashions Private Limited and Hariyana Machinery Exports Private Limited.
