Avenue Supermarts Ltd, operating under the widely recognized name 'D-Mart', is a prominent player in the Indian retail sector. The company operates a chain of hypermarkets across India, offering a diverse range of products such as food, toiletries, beauty products, garments, kitchenware, bed and bath linen, home appliances, and more. With a business model centered around offering value for money, D-Mart has consistently expanded its operations over the years, making it a key player in India's organized retail landscape.

In Q3FY25, Avenue Supermarts reported a total income of ₹15,996.69 crores, which marks a 10.5% increase from the previous quarter (Q2FY25) when the total income stood at ₹14,478.02 crores. Comparing year-over-year, the total income in Q3FY24 was ₹13,605.39 crores, indicating a YoY growth rate of 17.6%. This consistent rise in total income implies a steady growth in the company's revenue streams, which could be attributed to a combination of factors such as new store openings, increased customer base, or improved sales per square foot.

Looking at the company's profitability, the Profit Before Tax (PBT) for Q3FY25 was ₹995.05 crores, up by 10.2% from the previous quarter's ₹903.19 crores. When compared to the same quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q3FY24), which was ₹948.93 crores, the year-on-year growth stands at 4.9%. Post-tax, the Profit After Tax (PAT) for Q3FY25 was ₹723.54 crores, marking a quarter-over-quarter growth of 9.7% and a year-over-year growth of 4.8%.

The Earnings Per Share (EPS) for Q3FY25 was ₹11.10, up from ₹10.10 in Q2FY25, indicating a quarter-over-quarter growth of 9.9%. Compared to Q3FY24, when the EPS was ₹10.60, there is a year-over-year growth of 4.7%. This growth in EPS indicates that the company has been profitable for its shareholders. However, it should be noted that EPS growth can result from a reduction in outstanding shares or an increase in net income. The company's total expenses for Q3FY25 stood at ₹15,001.64 crores, up by 10.5% from the previous quarter and 18.5% from the same quarter last year. This could be attributed to increased operational costs or investments made for expansion.
