What is the role of the registrar of an IPO Issue?

The registrar of an IPO issue is responsible for processing IPO applications, allocating the shares per SEBI rules, processing refunds, and transferring allocated shares to investors' demat accounts. All registrars are registered with SEBI & Stock exchanges.
