Based in Seoul, South Korea, Mirae Asset Financial Group plays a pivotal role in the Asian financial market. Its asset management division, Mirae Asset Global Investments, was established in 1997 and rapidly expanded its global footprint. The Indian branch of this asset management company (AMC), Mirae Asset Global Investments (India) Pvt. Ltd., was inaugurated in November 2007. Notably, Mirae Asset had been present in the Indian market since 2004 as a foreign institutional investor, but it commenced domestic operations only in 2008. As of December 2023, their AUM exceeds Rs. 149503 crores.
