With our Kotak Wave mobile app, you can access stock markets anytime anywhere, and place your trades on the go. It’s simple and hassle-free.

Offline (Type) customers of Kotak securities (Excluding NRI).

Kotak Wave 2.0 App is available for iOS and Android users. You can download the app through the Google play store or App store.

Visit Settings from left side menu, there are two theme Options available; Light Theme and Dark Theme

To login to wave app, simply user your user ID, password followed by the OTP.

To login to the new Kotak Wave 2.0 app as a first time user, please follow the instructions given below.

  • Click on the login button and complete the one-time activation process.
  • Read and accept the disclaimer by entering the 6 digit OTP i.e. Alphanumeric. The first 3-digits of the OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. The last 3 characters of the OTP will be sent to the registered email id. Combine both these OTP’s and enter the 6-digit OTP. Click on submit button.
  •  Once validated successfully, you will have to re-login using your username and password. Now you can follow the normal login process. Log in using your username and password. Generate and enter 4 digit OTP which will be sent on your registered mobile number and email id. Enter the 4-digit OTP to complete the login process.

Yes, you can. There are two ways to change your password through the Kotak Wave 2.0 app:

  • Click on ‘Setting’ from the menu options and go to change the password under Security Setting.
  • Set up a new password directly from the login page with the help of forgot password.

You can set up a new password instantly by following these steps:

  • Click on the ‘Forgot password’ link on the login screen of the Kotak Wave 2.0 app. It will take you to Kotak securities web page.
  • Enter your User ID and select ‘Authenticate by OTP validation’.
  • Enter the 4-digit OTP that is sent to your registered mobile number and email ID. Click on the Submit button.
  • Upon successful OTP validation, we will send a temporary password to your registered email ID. Use this temporary password to log in.
  • Set up a new password immediately after to ensure enhanced security for your account..

No, on ODIN Diet Client code (5 digit) is used as Login ID

On Wave 2.0 app, you are required to use your User ID, which is the same as you use on kotaksecurities.com login page.

Yes, Access Code or OTP generated on Kotak Website login can be used on both the platforms to login.

Access code generated is valid for whole day till 11.59 PM (IST). However, you can generate new Access code multiple times throughout the day.

You will be able to view Script name, LTP and change from previous close on the Watchlist. You can create multiple watchlists by selecting from the default or by creating a completely new Watchlist as per your choice.

You can create multiple watchlists of your choice by clicking on ‘Select Watchlist’ from the watchlist customization options. Click on Create Watchlist, search for your desired stocks, click on the plus sign, and then select ‘Done’

  • Search the stock in the using the search bar in the watchlist section
  • Select the stock you want to add to the watchlist
  • Or select the option from the watchlist page and search for the desired stock name
  • Click on ‘Done’ and the stock will be added to your created watchlist

Yes, you can trade in stocks and view quotes though the watchlist. Select the ‘Buy or Sell’ option alongside the stock you wish to trade. This will redirect you to the order placement page.

Go to 'Funds' under the menu options or click on the ₹ symbol from top right of the app, and click on ‘Fund Transfer’ to add funds into your account.

It will direct you to kotaksecurities.com page where you will get options of “From” and “To” account where funds need to be transferred.

Enter the amount and click on "Go". It will further show the detail of Transfer and accounts, You can also select the bank account number for debit and after verifying the details click on "Submit" Similarly you can withdraw funds from Trading to Bank account.

Yes, you can place the After Market Orders (AMO) through Wave 2.0 app. The AMO options is available on the order page.

Kotak Wave 2.0 allows you to trade in the Cash, Derivatives, Currency and Commodities across NSE, BSE and MCX. You can use the app to trade in both delivery and margin products. You can also place limit, market, and stop loss orders through Kotak Wave 2.0 app

Orders type options such as Market Price, Limit, Stop Loss Market, Stop Loss Limit orders are available in new Wave 2.0 app

On the dashboard itself there is a 'Orders' book options, where you can check all your Net Positions on Open and Completed orders.

Open the orders from the ‘Open’ Orders under Orders book and you will get option to Modify or Cancel the orders.

While placing the order from the selected Script, you get an option to choose from Margin (Intraday) OR Delivery (for long term holding). You can select the options as per your choice and continue with ‘Place Order’ option.

While placing the order you will get options like, to trade at Market price, Your price (Limit Price) or Trigger Price (Stop Loss). If you opt for Trigger Price (Stop loss) you have to input the stop loss amount below that and accordingly your Stop loss order will be placed.

Click on ‘Orders’ to view all your open and closed positions. You can also square off and convert positions here.

To get a comprehensive view of your portfolio holdings, click on ‘Portfolio’ from the dashboard. This will display all your holdings under asset classes like equities and derivatives.

Currently, you cannot invest in equity SIPs, mutual funds, and IPOs or trade bonds using the Kotak Wave 2.0 app. You can only invest in and trade equities, derivatives, currencies, and commodities.

On the menu option from top left, first options is of Account and Personal Info. You can view your User Info such as User ID/Client ID, Phone number, Email ID, PAN Number and Segments Allowed in the account. Besides this, Bank account details linked to your trading account are also available.

In the left hand side menu, you will get the option to Logout.
