Why Portfolio Management | Why Kotak Securities | Benefits | FAQs | Investment Philosophy

1) Where will you invest my money?

At Kotak Portfolio Management, the Relationship Manager will discuss with you at length your financial goals and engineer a portfolio as per your requirement across various asset classes.

2) What kind of returns can I expect?

Kotak Portfolio Management offers various schemes to suit individual investment objectives. As per regulations governing Portfolio Management Services in India, neither capital nor returns can be guaranteed. We shall endeavor to outperform the benchmark indices like Nifty but there can be no guarantee or certainty of the same. We believe, over long term, equities' performance will track corporate performance. We expect India's GDP to grow at 7-8% p.a. in real terms; or 12-13% p.a. in nominal terms. Therefore historical trends indicate that well managed portfolios in Indian equities can yield upto 20-25% p.a. returns. However the future returns may be very different for market risk as well as risk with any portfolio manager's judgment.

3) Do you invest in Derivatives on behalf of the customer?

The Portfolio Manager may invest in future and options to hedge, to generate returns or to balance the portfolio. The quantum of the exposure to derivatives will not normally exceed 50% of the portfolio invested by the client.

The Account Statement as well as the Statement of Holding of your equity portfolio will be couriered to you on a quarterly basis. You will be able to view the same online .The statements will have complete details of portfolio transactions and a comprehensive performance review which will be uploaded on the website on a weekly basis and can be viewed by logging in your user ID and the password that will be supplied to you.
